SUNTEC Industries, a company based near Dijon, is recognized for its flow and pressure regulation systems dedicated to liquid and gas fuels. With its unique technology in the world of hydrogen mixer, SUNTEC has evolved to meet the current requirements of the energy transition.
How does SUNTEC, traditionally focused on gear pumps, adapts to renewable energies during this period of energy transition?
Our skills in flow and pressure regulation for liquid fuels, in particular fuel oil, have evolved towards solutions for more virtuous fluids. We have diversified with natural gas, biofioul and hydrogen and have developed a solution to inject decarbon hydrogen – or green hydrogen – in natural gas, thus reducing CO emissions2 during combustion.
What is it?
Of the design of an autonomous mixer which makes it possible to inject hydrogen into natural gas. When the hydrogen level increases, CO emissions2 decrease. For example, an injection of 60 % hydrogen into a natural gas burner reduces CO emissions2 31 %. Our technology thus aims to decarbonize the combustion of natural gas and to meet European objectives of decarbonation.
Who is this technology for?
We work with the main manufacturers of heating systems for compatibility certification tests with hydrogen. They can then offer our mixer to their customers to decarbonize combustion.
We also help industrialists using process natural gas. Hydrogen injection turns out to be a relevant decarbonation solution for all those, many, who cannot electrify.
Is the mixer already in office on certain sites?
Yes, it has been operational since September 2022 in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, thanks to the pilot project “Ilot@GE” which saw the birth of the first mixer operating in hydrogen, produced from photovoltaic panels and wind trees. The technology used in the mixer was patented in 2023, it is unique in the world. We have other current projects.

We want to be consistent between what we offer, and the way we do it. We have a vast social and environmental policy: willing to install photovoltaic panels on our site, use of more ecological pallets, reduction of our waste, our energy consumption, installation of hives, use of biofioul for our heating … Small and large actions have been implemented through each service and each profession to reduce our ecological footprint. We are also ISO 14001 certified and have a real desire to take care of the environment.
