How can we make the yachting industry as blue-green as the ocean? Like the major competitions in the automotive sector, the super-yacht industry is the ideal terrain for testing and perfecting new sustainable solutions, ultimately applicable to the entire maritime sector with a clientele that benefits from the necessary resources. . The Gaussin company is presenting avenues in this direction in September in Monaco with its Powerpack H2 as a backdrop. Embarked and on the docks! Imagined in 2011 and co-developed with the Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA-Liten), the Powerpack is a compact, modular and versatile solution which brings together the components necessary for energy storage, supervision and thermal management. The Full elec and H2 versions use the latest generations of battery and fuel cell technologies respectively.
Gaussin’s clean propulsion and power technologies find three concrete applications in the marine sector:
– energy source for shore power to provide electrical power to turn off the generators and replace the boat’s diesel consumption;
– main energy source for a single propulsion boat;
– energy source for a hybrid boat.
This solution offers power supply and zero emissions near the coasts and recreational areas to protect biodiversity and the environment and reduce nuisance. It adapts to each boat, depending on the model, use, energy needs and peaks of activity. All for a 100% hydrogen system for a zero-emission boat.
