240 global hydrogen industry leaders from more than 31 countries gathered in Monaco to exchange ideas and innovative solutions on the transition to green hydrogen.
German company H2FLY wins Monaco Prize for Innovation in Green Hydrogen and Transportation 2023
December 12, 2023 – “When we launched the Alliance three years ago, we understood the role hydrogen would play in the mobility sector to reduce carbon emissions, in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change. 31 pays were represented at the two-day meeting, with over 240 senior officials and CEOs from across the European Union, the Nordic countries, Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, among others. Discussions focused on how innovation, investment and infrastructure are needed to enhance the sustainable deployment of green hydrogen to accelerate the decarbonisation of maritime, air and land mobility.

The Alliance awarded the 2th Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation. Launched in spring 2022 in partnership with the Alliance’s Strategic Partner, ENOWA, this global competition evaluated 55 solutions from 15 countries. During the Forum, 9 finalist organizations were invited to present their solutions to the Prize jury: Destinus/Switzerland, H2Carrier AS/Norway, H2FLY/Germany, H3 Dynamics/France, HSL Technologies (HySiLabs)/France, NepTech/France, Raven SR/USA, SoHHytec/Switzerland, TECO 2030/Norway.

The Monaco Prize also rewarded 3 companies:
- SoHHytec, a Swiss supplier of on-site renewable systems for the production of solar fuel (hydrogen, oxygen) and energy (electricity, heat), has been awarded the Emerging Technology Solution Award.
- HSL Technologies (HySiLabs), a French company developing a breakthrough innovation to transport and store hydrogen, was awarded the prize for the Solution with the Most Disruptive Potential.
- H3 Dynamics, a Singaporean company that develops hydrogen-electric propulsion systems that enable the integration of hydrogen vector into new drone and aircraft architectures for the transport of sensors, freight or passengers, was awarded the Cross-Sector Adaptability Solution prize.
