2–3 December 2024
The Monaco Hydrogen Forum is the first gathering of the main political and industrial leaders, as well as founders, technologists and investors, all committed to placing specific hydrogen at the heart of energy transition strategies in mobility and transport.
In the context of urgent global climatic imperatives, the theme of this third edition is Building the case for clean hydrogen (Build the clean hydrogen file), focusing on key sub-themes: so that hydrogen takes off in the coming years, it is indeed necessary to put the accent on value again. World leaders have undertaken to triple the global capacity in terms of renewable energy by 2030. And, according to the Hydrogen Council, 180 million tonnes per year of hydrogen production are necessary to stay on the target of the objective of 1.5 ° C and reach the zero lens (which should reach 660 million tonnes per year in 2050). Despite these ambitious objectives, there remains a lot to do: according to the International Energy Agency (IAI), only 12 GW of green hydrogen projects have reached the stage of the financial closure or began to be built, out of the 360 GW of projects announced at the start of this decade. The forum attacks these challenges directly, by examining closely the latest innovations, technologies and mechanisms. clean hydrogen in the transport sector. The forum is also an opportunity to meet technologists and entrepreneurs from the entire changing landscape of hydrogenotransport and to discover advanced innovations that transform the sector. We closely examine the strategies to create a solid and durable value chain for clean hydrogen, from production to trade and logistics. Monaco Hydrogen Forum assesses best practices to optimize the logistics of the supply chain, ensure safety and minimize environmental impacts.
Monaco Hydrogen Forum is placed under the high patronage of SAS Prince Albert II of Monaco.
