    France Hydrogène, the Dunkirk Grand Littoral Urban Community and the Hauts-de-France Region, with the support of Euraenergy and Pôlenergie, are organizing the 8th edition of Hydrogen Days in the Territories from September 8 to 10, 2021 at the Kursaal in Dunkirk.

    Dunkirk’s application was selected by France Hydrogène to host the unmissable event which brings together each year stakeholders in the hydrogen sector and community representatives. After editions in Nantes, Toulouse and Marseille, more than 550 participants are expected in Hauts-de-France for these days of meetings and discussions around the deployment of hydrogen in France.

    Territories already engaged in large-scale projects, but also those who are launching their approach, come to share their experiences alongside industrial players who present their recent developments, achievements and innovative hydrogen solutions. The objective of these days: to encourage exchanges, create synergies, share good practices and identify replicable models, but also the obstacles that still remain to be overcome for an acceleration of the deployment of hydrogen.

    A pioneer region

    The Hauts-de-France Region is leading the “third industrial revolution” and has made the development of hydrogen a key strategic axis of its regional Climate Air Energy policy. It has adopted a roadmap and an action plan for the development of the hydrogen sector, particularly for transport, construction and industry, three fundamental pillars of the Hauts-de economy. -France.

    For its part, the Dunkirk Urban Community is a historic area for hydrogen deployment, with the first hydrogen injection demonstrator in the gas network and numerous projects to deploy mobility. An industrial, energy and logistics platform, Dunkirk illustrates the ecosystem in which hydrogen can play a decisive role in the decarbonization of several sectors of the economy by creating value in the region. to developments in this rapidly structuring market.

    The program

    A meeting time for the hydrogen “team of France”, the Hydrogen Days in the Territories are an opportunity to highlight the decisive contribution of the territories in the deployment of hydrogen technologies and to draw up an initial assessment collective of the implementation of the National Hydrogen Strategy. After the opening on September 8 at 9:30 a.m. by the president of France Hydrogène, the president of the Dunkerque Grand Littoral Urban Community and the Hauts-de-France Region, and the intervention of the president of ADEME, will take place a reflection on “Hydrogen, a dynamic engaged at the global level… in which France is taking its place with an ambitious strategy”. Then the program will continue with three sessions:

    – session 1, on September 8, will deal with “hydrogen territories to accelerate the scale-up of the sector” and “Ecosystems, territorial deployments, challenges and means of communities”;

    – on Thursday September 9, session 2 will have the theme: “The industrial sector is structured to respond to the challenges of the territories” (Decarbonization of industry, transport, buildings, hydrogen makes it possible to mobilize renewable energies and recovery of territories);

    – on the afternoon of September 9, session 3 “Train and continue to innovate to successfully deploy the sector” will be held. By 2030, more than 100,000 jobs will be created in the field of hydrogen. Increasing the skills of industrialists and regions is therefore essential in order to develop a solid national sector. Innovation also remains at the heart of the challenges for the sector in order to guarantee technological mastery.

    Please note: a friendly evening is planned for the evening of the 8th, and Friday will be devoted to site visits. Find the complete program on https://www.dunkerquejh2.fr/programme.
