the Monaco Prize for innovation in the field of renewable hydrogen and transport, presented by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II during the last day of the Monaco Hydrogen Forum, was attributed to Genevos. The 2022 edition of the Monaco Hydrogen Forum, an event exclusively intended to bring together key players in the sector in order to accelerate innovation in the hydrogen value chain, aimed to highlight innovative solutions in the field of mobility, and more particularly solutions that can have a positive impact on the maritime mobility value chain.
Candidates from more than fifteen countries spanning three continents competed for this award. Each application was reviewed based on strict criteria, based on its innovative and disruptive potential, implementation potential, cross-industry adaptability and scalability. Eight finalists were selected and presented their solution on November 21, 2022 during the Monaco Hydrogen Forum.
The Monaco Hydrogen Alliance jury awarded first place on the podium to Genevos for its plug-and-play and scalable hydrogen power modules, which enable ships across the maritime sector to operate emission-free. Second place was awarded to the Gaussin Group for its solutions focused on cross-industry adaptability, and Hydrox Holdings, which presented an emerging technology, rounded out the podium.
Phil Sharp, Chief Technology Officer at Genevos, said:
“It is an honor to receive this prestigious Monaco Prize for innovation in the field of renewable hydrogen and transport. This award has great meaning for us at Genevos because it recognizes the importance of favoring clean hydrogen-powered ships in the race towards net zero emissions. »
