LOn December 7 and 8, the EnerGaïa trade show was held at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier. Faced with the climate and energy emergency, EnerGaïa has seen bigger for its 2022 edition with the opening of a third hall, an increase in the number of exhibitors, an increased international focus, an enlarged conference area integrated into the heart of the exhibition spaces and the inauguration of two thematic pavilions “Sustainable Building” and “Sustainable Transport & Mobility”.
The EnerGaïa 2022 forum is providing the means to respond to the challenges of a climate and energy emergency at the heart of all concerns. An essential meeting place for renewable energies, supported by the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region for 16 years, the EnerGaïa forum is particularly frequented by professionals and territories who find concrete answers to their environmental concerns there. Preparing territories to weather crises: “Living in peace, preparing for the world to come” is the title of the plenary conference that inaugurated the forum around the adaptation policies advocated by the latest IPCC report. The entire program of conferences that punctuated the two days of the forum was structured around the concrete solutions to be implemented to resolve the current energy crisis and put the territories on the right trajectory for carbon neutrality.
Thus, on December 8, we were able to attend the conferences “Decarbonizing heavy goods vehicles and utility vehicles: which vehicles, which financing”; “Collective self-consumption, short-circuit energy”; “Renewable gases: towards territorial autonomy”; “Hydrogen: new logistics, new uses”.
