Hydrogen+: Adalterra, the communications agency in charge of Consilde Média’s event activities, announces the implementation of an innovative approach called DEFI for Decarbonization — Jobs — Training — Innovations. Why did you launch this event?
For 10 years, Consilde Media has been in contact with the sustainable development sectors. Its magazines have been designed as information and networking tools, with the aim of accelerating virtuous projects.
Today, the energy transition sectors are facing an unprecedented employment crisis, with twice the recruitment pressure than the national average.
Added to this are obstacles to the implementation of projects due to protests by local residents and problems of acceptability. 47% of French people think that renewable energies are a source of visual, auditory and/or ecological pollution.
However, climate change, combined with new geoeconomic risks, requires us to move away from fossil fuels quickly, to produce locally and to use renewable resources.
To pursue our primary mission of facilitating sustainable projects, we have therefore created DEFI.
Can you explain the concept to us?
DEFI is the tour de France of energy transition professions, with a major recruitment and training event in each region! We want to be as close as possible to employment areas, and as close as possible to citizens.
It is a free event open to all, adapted to each region according to its energy specificities, its current and future projects and its employment areas, which allows energy transition stakeholders to connect with citizens.
DEFI is a unique mechanism which aims to accelerate the energy independence and carbon neutrality of territories by promoting employment, training and the acceptability of renewable energies.
Our goal is to open a dialogue with the general public and facilitate the growth of renewable energy projects through recruitment and positive communication.
Acceptability comes through understanding and knowledge. Just as is the case with professions in tension, which must be explained and valued in order to be reached.
Who is the DEFI for?
Our CHALLENGE is that of employment and training. How can we facilitate recruitment? How can we train for the jobs of tomorrow? DEFI is therefore aimed at pupils and their parents, students, young graduates, young talents, but also professionals looking for a career change, and workers looking for meaning. Today, 47% of workers are considering a career change!
But our CHALLENGE is also that of acceptability. How can we get projects accepted locally? Our event is therefore aimed more generally at every citizen, every local resident, every curious person who wants to know more, or who wants to open a dialogue. In the “Speaking out” space, mediations will also be set up!
How is it a multiple event?
DEFI is more than a multiple event, it is a device, designed to be participatory, fun and educational with a large exhibition space which will allow the actors of the different sectors of the energy transition and the training organizations to meet the general public and the young talents, and to present their offers to them.
A job-dating space will allow companies and schools to recruit directly, and where the different training and retraining paths will be clearly illustrated.
A speaking space will encourage dialogue around the energy transition, and will present the different energies, professions, training and upcoming projects in the regions.
Everything will be supported by an entertainment space to understand what the professions and energies consist of, what the issues are, and thus raise awareness among the general public.
We want to show that respect for humans and biodiversity is not inseparable from renewable energy projects. Training, innovations and territorial initiatives that go in this direction will be rewarded by a trophy organized in each region.
DEFI will also be supported by an online media platform: video relay of conferences, job-boarding, employment and training agenda, directory, expert content, interactive mapping of projects, etc. A great permanent tool for information, exchanges and networking in the service of employment, training and the acceptability of the energy transition!
The publication and free distribution of guides in print and digital format is also planned – as has already been the case for several years with the Guide Emplois et Formations en Méthanisation published by Consilde Media Group.
What will this bring to visitors?
Visitors will be able to meet recruiters, discover professions and find out how to train for them.
Understand energies, their challenges. But also discover applications in the sectors of mobility, construction, transport, logistics, digital technology… and discover just as many exciting positions.
The entire ecosystem of the energy transition will be presented in an educational manner.
Visitors will leave with contacts, knowledge, experiences, and in the best case scenario, a new job or a new course of study.
What is the schedule and how to register and participate?
The schedule is currently being finalized, but we can already tell you that the media platform will be launched for the start of the 2023 school year, and that the first event will take place in early 2024.
This tour of France will take place over a period of 3 years, passing through each region, and will end with a large national trophy in which all regional finalists will be able to compete.
If you would like to know more about our system and our Tour de France, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Together, let’s turn the challenge into opportunities!
