The energy landscape is changing, and hydrogen is at the heart of this transformation. As part of the partnership between the EURES-cross-border of the Greater Region and the INTERREG Green SKHy project consortium, we are pleased to announce the holding of a cross-border seminar dedicated to the hydrogen sector in the Greater Region. This major event will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Technopole Convention Center in Metz, France.
A gathering of experts and partners
Following the success of the first seminar in June 2022, when hydrogen projects were still in their early stages, this second edition promises to be an unmissable event for industry players. The Grand Est Region, France Travail, the Union des Entreprises de Moselle and Afpa Grand Est are once again joining forces with their German, Belgian, Luxembourg, Dutch and Swiss partners to explore together the advances in employment and training in the field of hydrogen.
Today’s program
On the morning’s agenda, participants will have the opportunity to attend a Masterclass led by Mikaa BLUGEON-MERED, coordinator of the Hydrogen Task Force of MEDEF International and lecturer at Sciences Po. Presentations of the DEF’Hy projects led by France Hydrogène and Green SKHy led by Afpa Grand Est will also be on the agenda. A cross-border round table bringing together major players in the sector will enrich the discussions.
Exploration and discovery
The afternoon will be devoted to a “Hydrogen Village”, where around twenty exhibitors will come together to present their innovations and know-how. Nearly 250 high school and college students from the Grand Est and Luxembourg will have the opportunity to discover training and careers in the hydrogen sector through educational demonstrators and discussions with professionals in the sector.

About the Green SKHy project
Towards a hydrogen future
Since 1 January 2024, Afpa has been coordinating the INTERREG North-West Europe project “Green SKHy”. This project, dedicated to the development of hydrogen skills in Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland, aims to remove obstacles to the development of the hydrogen sector. Through a common approach to skills development, the creation of transnational professional and academic training, as well as the experimentation of mobile technical training platforms, Green SKHy actively contributes to shaping the future of hydrogen in Europe.
We invite you to join this unique event, where experts, professionals and enthusiasts will come together to discuss, share and build together the future of the hydrogen sector in the Greater Region.
