German chemists from the University of Münster say they have discovered a photocatalytic method (acceleration of a photoreaction in the presence of a catalyst) to simplify the production of hydrogen. This study, published in the journal Naturesays the new process involves “water splitting” and could open the way to new research in chemistry. The new method developed by the researchers involves the triarylphosphinesa type of organic phosphine with many industrial uses, including as heat and light stabilizers. The Urban Community of Dunkirk (CUD) will order multi-purpose trucks and household waste bins (BOM) retrofitted with hydrogen by GCK. This decision is part of the urban area’s desire to develop a hydrogen sector in its territory. CUD aims for carbon neutrality by 2050 thanks to its hydrogen and CO hub2.
