After a successful 2022, the Hydrogénies competition returns in 2023 with a presentation of the hydrogen trophies which will take place on May 24, 2023 in the plenary room of the Palais des congrès de Bordeaux on the occasion ofs 24th European Energy Transition Conference. Applications to apply for one of these trophies are open until 10 avril 2023.

The third edition of the Hydrogénies competition makes this unique event an unmissable event where the key players in the sector, the most promising innovations, the best experts and the most qualified investors will come together.

Innovation at the service of the territories

The Hydrogénies hydrogen trophies reward exemplary actions or achievements. Their purpose is to promote the innovative strength and dynamism of the players in the sector. This competition is organized with the partnership of large communities. It is open to all companies in the energy sector as well as local authorities, regardless of size. It is a way to promote the teams, achievements and hydrogen projects that they have set up, in France or even in Europe, already financed, in progress or completed. Registration for the competition is completely free. All registrations must be completed by April 10, 2023.

Each year, this competition takes place in a different host city. Let’s bet that, boosted by the billions from the Recovery Plan, this new edition will radiate an even stronger appeal.

    Winning visibility

To compete at the Hydrogénies, the hydrogen trophies, allow, at a time of acceleration of the Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy, to promote your innovative projects and solutions as well as the involvement of your teams, employees and partners. This prize offers the possibility of benefiting from boosted visibility thanks to targeted communication, not only with the trophy partners, representatives of the entire sector, but also with the reference media of hydrogen professionals, as well as on the general and specialized press of the energy transition.

To assist at the Hydrogénies, the hydrogen trophies, also means benefiting from a map of the sector’s outposts. The Hydrogénies awards ceremony takes place every year during an event that brings together thousands of industry players from all walks of life: European Energy Transition Conference which will take place this year in Bordeaux.

Receiving an award at the Hydrogénies means receiving recognition from your peers and thus promoting your professions and teams, and finally, it means benefiting from national recognition at a time of ambitious H2 investments.

    Choose your category

Nine award categories will be awarded in 2023. A single project may be submitted in a maximum of two different award categories. Candidates may submit several different projects. In this case, they will have to complete as many application forms as projects submitted, for each of the categories chosen from the following:

    – Low-carbon or renewable industry prize,

    – Price of storage and recovery of renewables,

    – Price of rail or aeronautical or maritime/river mobility,

    – Price of land transport of goods,

    – Price of the Passenger Transport Service,

    – Awareness, Education and Training Award,

    – Industry decarbonization award (new award in 2023),

    – Territorial Transition Prize, awarded to a territory for its dynamism in the implementation of projects and synergies between local stakeholders in the field of hydrogen,

    – A special prize will be awarded to the personality of the year who has worked particularly in favor of hydrogen.

    How to participate

The projects will be submitted to the votes of a jury of experts who are completely independent of the candidates and any sponsor. To make its preselection, the committee will base itself in particular on the following criteria:

    – Degree of maturity of the project,

    – Scope: scale of the project in relation to the technical, economic, industrial and/or social or environmental benefits observed,

    – Efficiency: originality of the innovative approach.

To register and participate in the competition, the candidate must present a project that must imperatively be started, that is to say either financed or the investment decision has been validated by the European Commission or the State or a public or private investor, or whose launch has taken place, by December 31, 2022. He must then complete an online application file on the following link: https://hydrogenies.eu/candidatez/ (in French) or https://hydrogenies.eu/to-apply/ (in English) et validate their duly completed application no later than April 10, 2023.
