On the occasion of the Hydrogénies awards ceremony, the 2023 Hydrogen Trophies, which was held on Wednesday, May 24 in the plenary hall of the Palais des Congrès in Bordeaux. In the presence of the President of the Aquitaine region, Alain Rousset, with the support of Valorem and the competition partners, 10 prizes were awarded — eight prizes for projects in thematic categories, a “Coup de cœur” prize for a disruptive project and a special prize awarded to the “Hydrogen Personality of the Year”.
Ten hydrogen champions awarded at this 4th edition
This prestigious ceremony, which brought together nearly 300 participants, including many elected officials, representatives of communities, businesses and investors, rewards innovative projects and solutions each year, companies or organizations or communities that have carried out a remarkable project in the field of hydrogen. This annual competition, of which the 4th edition was held this year, is open to all companies and/or groups of companies in the energy sector as well as local authorities active in the energy transition – regardless of size. It allows to promote the teams, the achievements and the projects that they have set up, in France and even in Europe.

A special award was given to the “Hydrogen Personality of the Year” 2023
For the 2023 edition and for the second time in this competition, a special prize was awarded to the “Hydrogen Personality of the Year”. Olivier SAVINfounder and president of Blue Spirit Aero (BSA) and its light electric aircraft powered by Hydrogen. On this occasion, his prize was offered to him by Mr. Philippe Haffner, president of Haffner Energy and former winner of the Hydrogénies in 2019, who insisted on presenting him with an original work of art specially designed for this prize. The statuette for the “Hydrogen Personality of the Year” prize for this 2023 edition was created by the artist Doïna Calmuscki, who wanted to dedicate this statuette to the hydrogen society.
